The offer

The Backbone. One month, laid out honestly.

Monthly coaching for one solo practitioner at a time. We build the commercial side of your practice together: the offers, the path that turns interest into bookings, and the money conversation. Then we practise it until it sounds like you.

What's in a month

Five things, every month, no filler

Call one: thinking

Fifty minutes on strategy. Decisions, priorities, what actually matters this month. You bring the mess, we leave with a plan you can hold in your head.

Call two: selling

Fifty minutes on the live stuff. Rehearse the conversation, price the enquiry sitting in your inbox right now, handle the wobble before it costs you a client.

The build

One real thing made with you every month. A lead journey. An offer page. A booking flow that actually works. Not homework. A finished thing.

Messages

Voice notes between calls, one channel, replies within two working days. For the enquiry that lands on a Tuesday and needs answering before Thursday.

The Clinic

An hour a month in a room with people who get it. Someone brings the enquiry they don't know how to price. The room works on it together, and I coach.

What's missing

Fluff, a 40 module curriculum, and anything that ignores your actual week. You already have too much to watch. You don't need more content.

The catch

The limits are deliberate

You've met the coach who's "always there". Six months later they're burnt out, the replies slow down, and you're paying for their recovery. The Backbone has edges on purpose.

  • Two calls a month, booked and used.
  • One build, capped and finished.
  • One message channel, answered within two working days, business days only.

The edges are what keep me sharp for you. They're also what keeps this at solo-practitioner money instead of agency money.

The Clinic

The hour that fixes the loneliness

Solo work is quiet in a way nobody warns you about. Once a month, everyone in The Backbone sits in one room for an hour. Someone brings the enquiry they don't know how to price. Someone brings the conversation that stalled. The room works on it together, and I coach.

What's said in the room stays in the room. It's the part people tell me they'd keep if they could only keep one thing.

The maths

What it costs, and why

£250a month

The first four founding members pay £200, locked for a year, in exchange for honest feedback along the way and a testimonial when it's earned. For most practitioners that's one or two sessions a month. If the backbone we build doesn't win you that back and more, I'm doing something wrong, and we'd talk about that too.

  • Three month minimum so we can actually build something.
  • Then rolling monthly. Leave with 30 days' notice.
  • No contracts designed to trap you. The work should be why you stay.

The fit

This works if three things are true

  • You already deliver work people pay for. This isn't "help me find an idea".
  • You'll act between calls. I build with you, not instead of you.
  • £200 a month is an investment, not a hardship.

If that's not you yet, no hard feelings. Take the free stuff on this site and come back when it is.

Questions

The things people ask before they ask me

How much does The Backbone cost?

£250 a month. The first four founding members pay £200, locked for a year, in exchange for honest feedback along the way and a testimonial when it's earned. For most practitioners that's one or two sessions a month.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

Three months minimum so we can actually build something, then rolling monthly. Leave with 30 days' notice. There are no contracts designed to trap you. The work should be why you stay.

Do you do the work for me?

No. I build with you, not instead of you. That's the difference between this and an agency. You learn how the thing works, so it keeps working after we stop.

What if I'm not technical?

Most practitioners I work with aren't. The build sessions are where we do the technical part together, on a call, until it's finished and you know how to change it.

How quickly do you reply between calls?

Within two working days, on one message channel, business days only. The limits are deliberate. They're what keeps me sharp for you and what keeps this at solo-practitioner money instead of agency money.

Who is The Backbone not for?

It isn't for people looking for a business idea, or for anyone who wants it done for them while they stay out of it. It works when you already deliver work people pay for, you'll act between calls, and £200 a month is an investment rather than a hardship.
